Oakland's own Siegi Lehmann, will exhibit her photography and digital art at the Oakland Library during the month of May through mid-June. The exhibit is titled With Love for Nature
Her work has been featured in the NYTimes, professional magazines and books. Ms. Lehmann taught photo restoration at the American Photo Corporation in NYC and freelances in photo restoration, commercial art and commissioned artwork. Her major influences are "life, the beauty of nature, our world, and its inhabitants."

Come to an exhibit in the historic Waldwick RR Station and discover Waldwick’s role in turn of the century textile manufacturing, clothing and labor. Museum operated by the Waldwick Community Alliance.

The Wortendyke Barn Museum, a National Register landmark, and the family’s stone house across the street, are all that remain of the original Wortendyke family farm. The barn, built in 1760, is an outstanding example of the vernacular architecture referred to as a “New World Dutch Barn” which could be found throughout 18th and 19th century Bergen County. The Barn’s exhibits include handmade 18th and 19th century farm implements and tools, the history of the Wortendyke family farm, and exhibits showing the agricultural history of the area from the first settlers through the 20th century. Come to the free "Music at the Barn" concert series on the last Sundays of July, August and September at 4 pm. And end the season on October 29 with the 7th Annual “Bluegrass & Cider” concert. Bring chairs, blankets, picnics, family and friends to the concerts which are held rain or shine. The Barn is fully accessible and free to the public.

“Mahwah’s Herstory: The Changing Roles of Women in Mahwah’s History”, examines the role of women in Mahwah’s history, starting with its first settler, Blandina Bayard, and continuing through to 1960. It highlights women’s activities, including pioneering and farming, changing roles in the workforce, and women’s accomplishments in the arts, in charitable organizations and in social reforms.
“Medicine in Mahwah” highlights the history of medicine in Mahwah. It examines the growth and development of the medical field with highlights on Mahwah’s practitioners, their methods, and instruments throughout various periods.

"To have the world made safe for democracy" the PHS commemorates 100 years since the U.S. entered World War I. In honor of the centennial of the United States entry into WWI, David Moskowitz has created a fascinating exhibit of artifacts, photos and uniforms, many from his family. On display through June 4.

In honor of Older American's Month in May, the Bergen County Administration Building will be a collection site for adult care briefs. Collection bins will be located throughout the building where packages can be deposited.
The products donated will be distributed to the clients of agencies such as Meals On Wheels of Bergen County, Visiting Homemaker Home Health Aide Service of Bergen County, and the Center of Food Action of Bergen County.
