Phase 2: Develop & Evaluate Preliminary Alternatives

A newsletter has been developed to present draft alternatives and management zones which outlines a range of proposals for how the Bergen County Ramapo Mountains Park's resources, recreational activities, and facilities could be managed in the future. These visions of the future are based upon the public comments received to date.

What to do:

Please read the Newsletter, attend the Public Open House to learn more about the preliminary ideas for the Park, and submit your comments.

October 19 Community Visioning Session Purpose:  Community involvement to help determine the best course of action to preserve and use the park resources.
May 26 Stakeholder Meeting Purpose: Gain initial insights from citizens on park resources, visitors, and how they interrelate.
April 20

Park Collaborative Meeting Purpose: Help the Planning Team develop the management planning process.
